Dear Mom,
You would never guess what hppened to me, I'm on an island with a black man named Timothy. Now I know what your thinking, but he saved my life and has been really nice to me. Timothy is my friend and he tought me how to fish. Did I tell you that i'm blind! But I learned things, Timothy made me a rope and cane so I can move around the island. I hope your not to worried.

I read Mr. Craft's blog and followed a link here. This was one of my favorite books every when I was a kid. You did a nice job with the letter, although you signed it Timothy, shouldn't that be Philip?
